Qualification and Eligibility
Membership is available to any Iranian students, faculty, and professionals, who are actively seeking academic achievements, regardless of their citizenship or place of residence.
Steering Committee Members
This Committee is composed of nine members. Members include students and scholars/faculties who actively participate in the association's activities and events. The Steering Committee establishes the overall direction and policies, guided by the association’s mission and roadmap. It meets virtually at least once a month or as needed.
Sub-committee Members
Each sub-committee is composed of three to five members with at least one steering committee member.
Members at Large
Members at-Large are affiliated individuals who contribute on a flexible, as-needed basis. They do not participate in routine tasks or regular meetings but provide support and expertise for specific initiatives, serving as a broader resource that strengthens the association’s capacity.
Members shall collaborate to address the priorities established by committees.
The term "Committee" refers to both the Steering Committee and the Sub-committees.
Each committee is responsible for recruiting new members.
Three sub-committees are responsible for coordinating events, managing outreach, and executing directives. These sub-committees are named as follows:
1. Supporting Newcomers and Applicants: This sub-committee focuses on assisting new students and applicants by providing guidance, resources, and support to help them integrate and succeed.
2. Establishing a Dynamic Academic and Professional Network: This sub-committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant network that connects members, promotes collaboration, and supports academic and professional growth.
3. Investigating Progressive, Inclusive, and Sustainable Higher Education Models: This sub-committee explores innovative approaches to higher education, emphasizing inclusivity, sustainability, and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and educators.
Annual General Meeting: The Steering Committee shall convene an Annual General Meeting each year. At this meeting, the Committee shall provide all members with a report summarizing the year’s activities, accomplishments, and ongoing initiatives. The agenda shall include updates from Sub-committees and any other matters deemed appropriate by the Steering Committee. A quorum of Steering Committee members is required, and official minutes shall be recorded and made available to all members.
Term of Service: Committees’ members serve a two-year term, with the option to volunteer for an additional term.
Nomination Process: Members of Sub-committees may nominate themselves or other Sub-committee members for selection to the Steering Committee.
Voting Procedure: The Steering Committee reviews each nomination and makes decisions by majority vote.
Proposals: Any member may propose an amendment by submitting a written request to the Steering Committee.
Decision making: The Steering Committee reviews each proposal and makes a decision based on the majority vote.
Implementation: Approved amendments take effect immediately and will be incorporated into the by-laws.
